Although it is an extremely scarce issue, the 1879-80 N.Y. Clipper Woodcut picturing Tim Keefe marks his earliest individual appearance on a baseball collectible. The first traditional baseball card picturing Keefe originates from the 1886 Old Judge - New York tobacco set. In addition, Keefe also appears on an 1886 J. Wood Studios Cabinet card as part of a group of New York players photographed by the famous local studio. Another very scarce issue featuring a card of Keefe was the 1886 Kalamazoo Bats series. Finally, another early card of Tim Keefe was produced during the 1887-90 time frame by the Old Judge cigarette brand.
