The earliest collectible picturing Max Carey originates from the 1911 Helmar Stamps set. Subsequently, the earliest traditional baseball card picturing Carey was included in the T207 Brown Background tobacco card set. The following year, in 1913, Carey was included as part of the Voskamp Pittsburgh Pirates card issue picturing only members of the Pittsburgh baseball club. Produced during back-to-back seasons, two Cracker Jack Max Carey cards were produced during the 1914 and 1915 baseball seasons.
