| All collectors will agree that the true Rookie Card of Kid Nichols hails from the 1887-90 Old Judge tobacco set. Subsequently, another popular, early card depicting Nichols was included within the 1888-89 Old Judge Cabinets series. Several years would pass before Nichols would appear in another baseball card set, the 1895 Mayo Cut Plug issue. Another scarce Nichols collectible was produced as part of the always popular 1898 Cameo Pepsin Gum Pinbacks set. Finally, an image of Nichols was included within the 1898-99 National Copper Plate portfolio set. |
