The earliest known Babe Ruth card originates from the extremely scarce 1914 Baltimore News Minor League baseball set. Subsequently, the earliest card to picture Ruth in his Major League uniform is a possibly unique Real Photo Postcard issued during the 1915 baseball season. In addition, another baseball collectible depicting Ruth was also issued in 1915 and hails from the Ornate-Frame Pinbacks set. Another very early collectible picturing "The Babe" originates from the 1915-20 Baseball Stars Notebook series. Last but certainly not least, the earliest mainstream card depicting Ruth hails from the ever popular 1916 Sporting News baseball set.
