| The true Rookie Card of Ozzie Smith hails from the regional 1978 Family Fun Centers Padres issue. The earliest mainstream card depicting Smith originates from the 1979 Topps set. The same photo used to produce the Topps card was also utilized for the 1979 OPC Ozzie Smith card as well. In addition, a popular card picturing Smith was included as part of the 1979 Hostess baseball issue. Finally, a Smith card was once again produced in conjunction with the Family Fun Center Padres series, this time during the 1979 baseball season. |
