All collectors will agree that the true Rookie Card of "Big Ed" Walsh originates from the 1902-11 W600 Sporting Life Cabinets issue. Subsequently, a scarce but popular postcard depicting Hull was included within the 1907 George Hull Postcards set. In addition, another popular card picturing Walsh was produced during the 1907-09 time frame in conjunction with the Novelty Cutlery Postcard series. Another rarely encountered postcard picturing Walsh hails from the 1908-09 Rose Company Postcards issue. The earliest mainstream card of Walsh was produced as part of the 1909-11 T206 tobacco set. |
