Although there may only be one copy in existence, the earliest card picturing Morgan Bulkeley is a Cabinet which was issued during the 1870's by Mathew Brady's Studio. In 1908, the George E. Wright Company issued a commemorative postcard picturing Bulkeley in a small oval above a bridge in Connecticut which was dedicated in his honor. Subsequently, the Baseball Hall of Fame went on to issue three different cards picturing Bulkeley during the 1940's and 1950's: the 1939-43 Sepia HOF Postcard, the 1944-52 Albertype HOF Postcard and the 1950-56 Callahan HOF card. |
