The first mainstream card picturing Rod Carew was issued within the 1967 Topps set. In addition, a black and white Minnesota Twins Team Issue photo was also printed during the 1967 season and thus qualifies as a Rookie Card as well. Subsequently, Carew would appear in the 1968 Topps set as well with an identical card also produced as part of the 1968 Venezuelan Topps issue. Finally, an oddball card of Carew was also produced as part of the 1968 Bazooka set.
