| All collectors will agree that the true Rookie Card of Dizzy Dean hails from the 1931 Metropolitan Studios Cardinals set. Another very early collectible picturing Dean is the 1932 Orbit Gum Pinback. Also produced during the 1932 season, the M101-8 Sporting News supplements picturing Dean can be a very difficult piece to obtain as compared to the earlier Sporting News Supplement issues of the 1910's and 1920's. The first mainstream card appearance for Dean comes within the ever popular 1933 Goudey set. Finally, the 1933 Cracker Jack Pinback set was wise enough to include Dean within their premier baseball issue. |
